Although the majority of the goodies from my weekly Tribe Pack (full review here) are scoffed straight from the packet pre or post-workout, when I have a little extra time I like to show them some love and incorporate them into a more substantial ‘recipe.’ I use the term recipe very lightly, as porridge doesn’t especially require much skill, but this combo was so delicious I wanted to share it!
(Serves One)
Ingredients
40g porridge oats
150ml unsweetened almond milk (or your milk of choice)
½ ripe mango
1 x sachet Pip & Nut Almond and Coconut Butter
1 x Tribe Goji berry, bee pollen and seeds sachet
Method
- Add your milk and oats to a saucepan, heating very gently over a low-to-medium flame, making sure not to boil. Leave for 3-5 mins, depending on how you like your porridge consistency, stirring every 30 seconds
- Take a ripe mango and slit lengthways around the stone, twisting apart before slitting vertically then horizontally with a sharp knife, pushing the mango inside out like a hedgehog OR use the glass method (looks weird, works well)
- Pop your porridge into the bowl and top with your mango, nut butter and Tribe seed sachet – in this case Pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, organic goji berries, bee pollen (131 cal & 6.3g protein per pack)
The perfect post-run recovery meal!

Never thought about having mango with my porridge, but I love the sound of it! I’ll have to give it a go 🙂 the almond and coconut butter looks so delicious too!

I’d never thought about it either, but sometime the experiments just work! Let me know if you give it a go x
