Yes, this post is very late and no, I haven’t done that much running. Oh, and I’m SERIOUSLY FREAKING OUT.
Monday
4km, 5:27/km
A sneaky treadmill tun to ease my achey ski legs back into the running game. It was all going so well until I had to make an untimely wee break and lost my treadmill to an eagle-eyed fellow runner. Good treadmills are hard to come by peeps!
So, as it happens, are these Livia’s Kitchen Raw Millionaire Shortbread Bites. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on them ever since I saw they were being stocked in Selfridges, so when they popped up in my local Planet Organic I went to grab a tub immediately. Oh. my. gosh. DELICIOUS.
Tuesday
5km, 5:37/km
Skiing ruins running. I repeat: SKIING RUINS RUNNING. Yes I have just spent a week using my thighs and glutes for 6 hours a day, but I worked very hard to offset any physical benefit by consuming as much cheese and wine as I could physically get my hands on. 5km felt like 20km and I blame rebluchon.
Wednesday
6km, 5:37/km
Yep. Skiing still ruins running. Ouch. And how am I meant to get up early enough to do a proper run when I have to deal with this on a daily basis.
Friday
I went skiing. Again. Indoor this time. but skiing none-the-less. WHY?!
Weekend
I was all set to jump back on the long run bandwagon, but what with spending 4 hours at the hairdressers (I don’t want to talk about it – my hair looks exactly the same), trying to write a father-of-the-bride speech with my dad for my sister’s impending wedding and generally being a sloth, it didn’t happen.
My only hope is Week 11.

Don’t worry at all – I went skiing last year and this year and I only did half/two thirds of my long runs due to injury!
